AAA Dollars awarded to ACG members for participating in non-purchase transactions such as referring a friend, requesting an insurance quote or enrolling in automatic billing are subject to 1099 tax reporting by ACG once the value of AAA Dollars awarded is $600 or more in a calendar year. In such cases, the fair market value of the AAA Dollars awarded will be reflected on the Form 1099 and is reportable in the taxable income of the ACG member receiving the AAA Dollars.
The Refer-A-Friend program is only available to active AAA Members residing in ACG Club territory where AAA Dollars are offered. Referred Primary Member must also reside in this defined territory and must join with the Member’s referral. Only one Refer-A-Friend credit is earned per new Primary Member that joins with a Member’s referral.
